The Bradford Institute for Health Research (BIHR) is one of the leading centres for clinical and applied health research in the UK. Their people-powered research has built a City of Research that fosters innovation and cutting-edge science.
The Objective
To provide a CAZ compliant vehicle for clinical and non clinical medical research within the Bradford Area
The Result
We designed the internal and external layout of the vehicle to fully meet their needs on a vehicle which could be driven on a car licence and was fully electric both with the cab and the internal power for the clinic.

Vehicle Features
- Full graphic wrap to outside
- 4 metre manual wind- out awning
- Internally mounted 43″ LED screen fitted in first clinic area and 65″ external screen under awning
- First clinic with double sliding door into second clinic
- Storage cabinets throughout
- Examination couch with phlebotomy fittings and examination stool
- 2 No. single doors one with window and blind to give good customer flow.
- Single steps with punched aluminium and polished stainless handrails.
- Curved L shaped bench with batteries, inverter, transformers and heater matrix below
- Low floor with easy access and only one step required
- RGBW LED strip lighting on ceiling and under cabinets with panel lighting in clinic
- LED RGBW colourchange lighting under upper cabinet
- Hot and Cold running water on board with HTM sink and mixer tap with TMV Valve
- Toilet with seperate sink fitted.
- Ducted hot water heating fitted
- On board medical equipment – Centrifuge, Height and weight tools, ECG machine, defibrillator, oxygen, Blood pressure monitor, oxygen monitor, suction machine.
