Crowleys Opticians 3,500 Kg Multiflex Mobile Opticians Trailer for Ireland

Crowleys are a family run group of opticians based around Cork and Kildare in South West Ireland and they wanted us to build something completely different to take their Opticians business to the customer. They wanted a low access and had a lot of views on how they wanted the trailer to look, which certainly stands out from the crowd. The Neat Multiflex trailer has a 7 metre body and curved mouldings on front and rear with a gloss black paintwork and LED lit 3d logos on front rear and both sides. We also made an unlit version of the 3d lettering on the front, rear and sides of the towing van. The unit has an ultra- low hydraulically operated entrance floor with single black powder coated step running all the way along the front and black powder-coated handrails complimenting the black paintwork. A full length hydraulic canopy provides some shelter along the front and a colour-changing LED strip light lights up the entrance. The wide windows and doors give a very light interior and a unique look from the outside, with pull down blinds for privacy. The rear room has a small reception desk, an underlit LED glasses display area with laminated shelves, and cupboards housing the electrical and hydraulic components as well as a flight case with all the spectacles carried safely in it for transport. The unit is powered by a large 48 Volt battery system and inverter which is designed to run the unit for two days on site. These are linked in to solar panels on the roof via a solar charger. There is also another system designed to be carried in the van to give additional power when these batteries run out, the first Neat modular power bank with its own inverter and batteries, giving power back up similar to a portable generator and portable from the back of the van.

The front room is the testing area with a Topcon testing station which includes an OCT and a phoropter needed for eye tests mounted in there together with a puff machine, sliding mirror, sink, air conditioning unit and an extractor.
